Umm Al Quwain: low overheads between Ajman and RAK
Umm Al Quwain is one of the UAE’s smallest and quietest emirates, on the coast between Ajman and Ras Al Khaimah. Its mainland companies are licensed by UAQ DED and can trade in all seven emirates.
Low rents and licence fees make UAQ a practical base for small trading and service companies, workshops and businesses serving the northern emirates. The emirate has an industrial area, a commercial port and quick access to the Emirates Road.

Why Umm Al Quwain Mainland
UAQ gives you a full mainland licence with minimal overheads, for businesses that don’t need a big-city address.
Very low running costs
Licence fees, rents and warehouse space are among the lowest in the UAE.
Full UAE market access
Trade with customers, sign contracts and open branches in every emirate, like any other mainland company.
100% foreign ownership (most activities)
Most activities can be fully foreign-owned. A short list of strategic activities still needs UAE national participation; we check yours first.
Industrial area & port
Workshops, warehouses and a commercial port support light industry and importers.
Northern emirates location
Between Ajman and RAK on the Emirates Road, within reach of Sharjah and Dubai.
Simple, personal licensing
A smaller authority with straightforward processes and quick responses once documents are in order.

We run each step with UAQ DED and the other Umm Al Quwain authorities for you.
- 01
Confirm the Business Activity

LLC, sole establishment, civil company or branch, chosen to fit your shareholders and liability.
